UX/UI Web Design

what separates design from art - is that web design should be functional
UX/UI Web Design

Structure + Creativity + Target = Web Design

Websites and mobile applications have become more complex, reflecting the continuous improvement and growth of technologies and companies. Despite this growth, the success of a websites or web product depends only on one thing: how do users perceive it? In this line of thinking, further questions arise: What is the value of this website for users? Is it easy to use? How easy is it for users to find what they are looking for? Is it pleasant to use? This is why web design is the embodiment of ideas and goals that have been carefully planned from the initial research phase and directed with intention to your target audience.

Web design is a complex step-by-step process that unites UX (user experience) and UI (user interface).

Step-by-step procedure of web design creation:

01
Fill in the brief
If you are interested in a fruitful cooperation, we will first ask you to fill in our brief.
02
Client Meeting
During our first face-to-face or online meeting, we discuss your ideas, determine if you know who your target audience is, if you already have company branding, and if the goals for your website are already defined and set. We also define who the responsible points of contact.
03
Research
At this stage, the designer researches market tendencies and competitors, and searches for inspiration and ideas to create a modern, easy-to-use and stylish UX/UI design.
04
Wireframe and design elements
This is when the site structure, homepage schemes, and other pages are created. Well designed and structured functionality in addition to website usability is very important here. The transition between pages, user interaction, the appropriate placement of buttons, calls to action etc. are also thoroughly designed and implemented. At this stage, we keep the needs and preferences of the end user in mind first, followed by your needs.
05
Mockup
A non-working site model made in Photoshop or Sketch is created in full size. This is a way to visualize the design before it becomes interactive.
06
Mockup approval
At this stage, we approve the mockup with you. This is the ideal time to make changes in design, before the HTML/CSS cropping is done. The sooner changes are identified, the sooner it is possible to complete a project successfully. At this point, according to the previously agreed upon rules of cooperation set in the contract, you approve the layout design and sign on. It is then given to programmers for further work.
07
HTML/CSS3
This is the final stage of design and early stage of programming. Once our programmer converts the mockup to HTML/CSS, the interactive jQuery elements will appear. At this stage, you will be able to see the design live on your screen.

Previously, designs were solely created based on what a client and designer liked and what they considered to be good. The focus was only placed on aesthetics and brand. There was little attention given to the user experience when interacting with a web site or application. Today, several billion people use the internet. This means it is more important than ever that online products have a structured and user centered design.

UI (User Interface) — This considers how the interface looks and the characteristics and functionality it holds. It includes the colour scheme of an online product, whether it will be convenient for users to click buttons, and whether texts will be readable, etc.

  • Convenience and simplicity
  • Human factors
  • System maintenance utilities
  • Ergonomics
  • Design
  • Accessibility
  • Marketing
  • System performance

UX – This is the planning that is involved with how the user interacts with the interface and the steps needed to ensure site browsing is intuitive. UI is the stage of thinking that considers how each of these steps will look in appearance. UX and UI are closely linked and the border between them is fuzzy.
